I decided to continue my project of Nero Lite here, which I started on the other forum. Project was stopped on that forum at 8. April 2009. This project is not related in any way with other Nero Lite which you can find. And, if someone wonders, I started first with Nero Lite v9.

Nero Lite installer includes following products:
- Nero BurningROM (Included in Micro version);
- Nero Express; (Included in Micro version)
- Nero Cover Designer;
- Nero ToolKit (DiscSpeed, DriveSpeed, InfoTool, BurnRights);
- Nero WaveEditor;

Nero 9 Requirements:
- Windows Installer 3.1 or higher
- Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributable (included into installer)
Advantages of Nero Lite/Micro edition:
- Smaller download size;
- Smaller footprint on the system (smaller installation size and much less registry entries written)
- 10 times faster installation, if not more
- Even faster uninstallation, maybe 20 times faster
- Uninstallation removes all traces of Nero that were added by Lite/Micro installer.


More info:

- Nero Lite will take 180 MB space on your HDD, when all applications are installed. Nero Lite - Micro, will take 100,7 MB if all applications are installed.

Uninstaller is included, but it won't be showed in Add/Remove programs. You will have the shortcut in Start Menu of it and you can use the installer for uninstall. After uninstall you will probably have to reboot (you'll get prompt if needed) because some files are in use and can be only deleted after reboot. Do not try to install again Nero if you did not reboot after uninstall, because commands are added which will delete remaining Nero files/folder on next reboot.

It is also highly recommended that you use General Nero Clean tool if you used full original installer of Nero 9, so you can remove all the junk. The tool can be found here.

If you find any bugs, report it so I can fix it.

If your antivirus reports that Lite or Lite - Micro installer, is some kind of a virus that is false positive and you can ignore it. Installer is created with AutoIt and most antiviruses reports false positives for everything created in AutoIt.

KNOWN ISSUES:

- Links in the programs do not work and probably will not work for the future version since Nero made it hard coded. For example in Nero Express, link "Switch to Nero BurningROM" will not work.

Nero Lite Multilanguage and Nero Lite Multilanguage - Micro contains all languages as original Nero installer, including English.

You can use MD5 hash to verify that installer is the latest, if you downloaded from someones mirror.

You can use Demo serial to install Nero Lite and then, after installation, to use keygen.
You can only use Nero 9 serials, Nero 9 HD serials don't work. When you start keygen, press Remove all serials, and then press Add to whitelist.

If Demo serial expired, or you used serial which is not valid, you will get error in installer: "Serial is not valid". Start keygen, but do not close installer or this won't work. You can only use Nero 9 serials, Nero 9 HD serials don't work. Now, press Remove all serials, and then press Add to whitelist. Copy key from keygen to installer and now CLOSE the keygen! Press again button "Start installation".
