Reign of Chaos summary,
The game will be focused on groups of noble warriors supporting mighty, Legendary Heroes, each of whom can advance and become more powerful as the game progresses. These Heroes are the central focus of the single-player game. Four linked campaigns - featuring the Humans, Undead, Orcs and Night Elves - together form the story of the day the sky rained fire and war once again swept the battered lands of Azeroth. Players first take the role of Arthas, Paladin and crown prince of Lordaeron, as he investigates an uprising of Orcs and rumors of a plague sweeping the northern end of the kingdom. As the single-player game advances, the story moves on to other races, with each campaign picking up where the previous one left off. Heroes of other races appear throughout the campaigns, many times as allies, yet other times as enemies. "It's very exciting to return to the Warcraft series," stated Mike Morhaime, president and co-founder of Blizzard Entertainment. "We're very proud of what we've accomplished with this game and we look forward to welcoming a new generation of gamers to Blizzard's first PC game world." Warcraft III immerses players in a compelling, dynamic 3D world of incredible depth and detail. Daunting monsters roam a landscape filled with neutral towns, strongholds, and temples, while stunning environmental effects bring the world to life. The game includes a robust campaign editor for creating custom 3D maps and unique missions, with scripts for units, spells, and action-packed events.

The Frozen Throne summary,
In The Frozen Throne, players revisit the war-torn world of Azeroth. Several months have passed since Archimonde and the Burning Legion were defeated at the battle of Mount Hyjal, but a new threat has arisen throughout the land. The campaign follows the traitorous Death Knight Arthas and the renegade Night Elf Demon Hunter Illidan as they battle their way toward the mysterious Icecrown glacier in Northrend. Imprisoned within this icy tomb is the soul of Ner?zhul, the evil Lich King responsible for unleashing the Undead Scourge upon the world of Azeroth. As the saga unfolds, the villains? intentions are revealed, and the fate of the world will once again find itself in the hands of the resilient Human Alliance and the stalwart Night Elf Sentinels.

Defence of the Ancients summary,
Defense of the Ancients (DotA) is a custom scenario for the real-time strategy video game Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos and its expansion, Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne, based on the "Aeon of Strife" map for StarCraft. The objective of the scenario is for each team to destroy the opponents' Ancients, heavily guarded structures at opposing corners of the map. Players use powerful units known as heroes, and are assisted by allied heroes and AI-controlled fighters called "creeps". As in role-playing games, players level up their hero and use gold to buy equipment during the mission.

Warhazard Return of Darkness summary,
Warhazard is an unofficial expansion for WarCraft III: Reign of Chaos and is by no means endorsed by WarCraft developer Blizzard. The plot of Warhazard will sound familiar to players of the original: gloom engulfs the country and demons arise in the cover of foggy valleys. The time of heroes returns, as players lead the sword of nemesis through battles into an unimaginable adventure. Warhazard basically delivers four new campaigns for the series, as well as a collection of new multiplayer maps and game modes. It also brings with it new units and items, and also a new Level Up system, which rewards an active player with more skill points. A role-play campaign places players in charge of a party with several heroes, as they explore mystical worlds in the search for the holy artefact.
