Dropbox 0.7.110 Final / 0.8.21 Beta (3/20/2010)
Dropbox is a storage application and service which enables users to store and sync files online and between computers. Dropbox has a cross-platform client (Windows, Mac and Linux) that enables users to drop any file into a Dropbox folder that is then synced to the web and the users' other computers with the Dropbox client. Files in the Dropbox folder may then be shared with other Dropbox users or accessed from the web. Users may also upload files manually through a web browser. A free Dropbox account offers 2 GB of storage. Users may upgrade to 50 GB by paying a monthly or yearly fee.
Changes in 0.8.21:· Fix to a rare bug that would cause some clients to never recreate certain files
· Fix to bug that would cause our config database to not import correctly. this would cause some users to lose the "black and white" tray icon setting when upgrading.
· Fix to very rare bug that would cause computers without file system support for xattrs to lose xattr data.
· Lots of fixes to other minor stability bugs.
Changes in 0.7.110::· Remaining preparations for auto-update
· Potential fix for the Windows 7/vista 64-bit tray icon not showing right after install. let us know if this build fixes this problem!
· A fix for some cases where windows installation fails once or twice if you had a virus scanner running
· Some fixes to incorrect permission problem detection on OS X
