REAPER là một ứng dụng Windows mạnh mẽ và hợp lý được thiết kế cho ghi âm, sắp xếp, biên tập, pha trộn và trình diễn âm nhạc. REAPER cung cấp một giao diện linh hoạt và dễ sử dụng gần như phù hợp với nghiệp dư và chuyên nghiệp.
Những tính năng chính:
• Dễ sử dụng
Đều hữu dụng cho những người dùng theo sở thích hay chuyên nghiệp. Chỉ đon giản là kéo và thả một trong số các loại file vào trong để biên tập, hoặc chèn một track vào và trang bị cho nó để tiến hành thu âm. Không cần thiết đặt project xác định hay phức tạp.
• Cực kỳ nhỏ
REAPER có đầy đủ chức năng, nhưng bộ cài của nó chỉ hơn 1MB một chút. Khởi động và đóng nhanh, có thể dễ dàng cài đặt vào hệ thống mới hay ổ di động.
• Khả năng biên tập nhanh và mạnh
Chia cắt, đổi cỡ, fade/crossfade, độ thăng trầm, căng thời gian, copy/paste và lặp các mục nhạc với tẩy xóa. Có thể biên tập trên dải sóng âm.
• Năng lực làm việc vô địch
Gửi các track vào bất cứ track nào khác hay đường ra phần cứng, với rất nhiều lựa chọn (pre-fx, post-fx, independent faders, mono or stereo). Không thích thú vì công cụ advanced routing? Bạn không bắt buộc phải sử dụng nó (và chắc chắn nó không cản trở bạn).

* Actions dialog: better support for finding by gestures and mouse hwheel
* Color theme: use tcp_solodefeat_on, mcp_solodefeat_on button images if they exist
* Import: added option (prefs/media) to not autoname tracks when importing media
* Media item crossfades: fixed slow shift+drag of crossfades in one direction when zoomed out
* MP3: encode audio that has peaks higher than +0dB without clamping
* Multiproject: no stop of background recording projects when stopping current and sync option set
* OSX: fullscreen is now by default set to Cmd+F11 rather than (non-working in stock OS X) F11
* ReaXComp: properly recall which band is soloed when loading projects
* Trim behind items: fixed possible hang when editing left edge of multiple selected items
