Microsoft has provided a select group of beta testers access to the first beta version of Service Pack 1 (SP1) for Office 2010, as reported by the official representatives of the software giant.
According to the report, the first service pack for the latest office software package from Microsoft will include the assembly usual bug fixes and patches that eliminate the security problems, but SP1 will not include any additions to the functional.
«Office 2010 and SharePoint 2010 Service Pack 1 Beta will bring better stability, performance and security, and is a direct result of cooperation with our customers to further enhance their experience using the product line in 2010. At the moment we can not disclose any details about the first service pack (quote from the representatives of the Borg).
In other words, no comments on plans to release the final version of the service pack.
Temporal Kimitation - until June 30, 2011, according to information on Microsoft Connect. By this time it will probably be available in final assembly without restrictions.
